Uudenkaupungin Rautavalimo Oy, URV, invested in a new sand filtration system in summer 2024, replacing the previous unit installed in the 1980’s. The modern system effectively removes dust from the molding sand, thereby improving the efficiency of the molding process and the quality of the final products. The reduced dust levels also contribute to a better and more ergonomic working environment. The upgrade has a significant environmental impact by decreasing the amount of dust released to environment. The investment was approximately 200,000 euros.
