Uudenkaupungin Rautavalimo Oy – URV – was founded in 1950. The company operates an in-house foundry in Uusikaupunki, Finland. URV additionally manages a network of partner foundries and machinists in Asia. We manufacture demanding single pieces, small series, and prototype castings quickly and flexibly at our in-house foundry. Cost-effective serial production is taken care of by our international network, offering the best quality and competitive prices. The efficient and professional overall management of the order to delivery process, logistics, and sub-contracting chains guarantees that our customers can enjoy cost-effective and smooth procurement of components.
Units Flexible efficiency
We provide casting technology support for all of our customer industries together with the casting product, efficient supply chain management, and customized logistical solutions that guarantee delivery times and punctuality that meet customer needs. Our customers include both domestic and international machine and system manufacturers, for whom we have customized individual product and service concepts.
Uusikaupunki foundry
Uusikaupunki is home to our in-house foundry and main office. Operating since 1950, our in-house foundry can manufacture single pieces, small series, and demanding castings flexibly and quickly. We have an extensive network of sub-contractors in Finland, meaning that we can deliver the components to our customers in a machined or partially pre-assembled form as required. Our in-house foundry also serves as a product development foundry, operating in close partnership with our customers, as well as a prototype foundry for the run-up of extensive serial castings before production is transferred to international manufacturing.

Supply System
Cost-effective serial production through our international network
By relying on our partner network, we are able to offer our customers a wide range of products and services together with an almost limitless capacity at a competitive price. The concept provides cost-efficiency and a competitive advantage for both castings and finished components. We have almost twenty years of experience in establishing and developing the partner network and the order delivery chain.
Our partner foundries do their own machining and pre-assembly as well, meaning that we can guarantee cost-effective total processes. The partner foundries operate under guidance by URV, and our professional staff can guarantee both quality and supply security. Our experienced technology team supports the development and control of the production and technology processes and the start-up of products. We also employ machining specialists in Finland and in China.

Logistics center in Uusikaupunki
We have our own 2,800 m2 logistics center in Uusikaupunki. In addition to warehouse services, we can do repackaging, domestic and foreign transports, spare part services etc. The logistics center is always staffed by our professional, flexible, and customer-oriented logistics team. We can also arrange storage services elsewhere in Finland and abroad as needed by the customers.
URV China
Our Chinese site (URV (Qingdao) Metal Products Co. Ltd) is located in Qingdao. Our company develops and manages a supplier network, supports deliveries to European customers, and offers the URV concept to our Chinese customers.
The experienced local professionals employed by us have a background of international work. All key members of personnel are fluent in English and Chinese. URV China manages our supplier network in China by providing well-designed technology and quality management as well as logistics development and control.

Viimeksi hän on toiminut Tevo Lokomo Oy:n toimitusjohtajana ja sitä ennen mm. vuodesta 2008 Peiron Oy:lla myyntipäällikkönä ja toimitusjohtajana.
